Councilmember Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION g91-10-231 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING OCTOBER 6-12, 1991 AS LOCAL PROGRAM- <br />MING WEEK <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, local cable programming brings our community's political, educational, <br />cultural, sports and special events to television; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, local cable programming is produced in conjunction with a variety of <br />community groups, including Anoka-Hennepin School District, Anoka Area Chamber of <br />Commerce and Anoka Area High School Varsity Sports; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, 84 hours of original local programming are cablecast each week; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Quad Cities Community Television is making it possible for this community <br />service to be brought to Ramsey; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, thousands of citizens in Ramsey are served by Quad Cities Community <br />Television; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the partners in local cable programming are to be commended for their <br />efforts to keep citizens in Ramsey informed, enlightened and entertained. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Ramsey City Council hereby proclaims October 6-12, 1991 as Local Programming <br />Week. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Cich and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson <br />Councilmember Peterson <br />Councilmember Cich <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Hardin <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
