Councilmember Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #91-10-232 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING FROM ANOKA COUNTY THE TURN BACK OF A <br />SECTION OF OLD COUNTY ROAD g83 AND CHANGING THE NAME OF THE <br />SECTION OF ROAD TO TIGER STREET N.W. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Anoka County has proposed the turn back of a section of County Road #83 <br />described as follows: <br /> South from the Northeast corner of Section 7 for a distance of <br /> approximately .4 miles to the new alignment of County Road #83. <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, the City Council approved the proposed plan at its April 27, 1987 <br />meeting; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Anoka County has completed the requested improvements to the described <br />section of street; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Road and Bridge Committee recommended final acceptance of the <br />described section of road at its September 24, 1991 meeting; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, according to the grid system for the naming of City streets, the new name of <br />this street shall be known as Tiger Street N. W. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the residents along this section of road be notified of the change of their street name. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That Anoka County be notified of the acceptance by the City of this section of road and that <br />the City will now be responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of the described <br />street. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />That the City Engineer make the required changes to the official City map showing the new <br />name of the described street. <br /> <br />4) <br /> <br />That the City notified the affected government organizations and companies that provide <br />services to the affected area. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Cich and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof.' <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson <br />Councilmember Peterson <br />Councilmember Cich <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Hardin <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
