Councilmember Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #91-10-233 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND <br />SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT g01-14 (EXTENSION OF SANITARY SEWER AND <br />WATER LATERALS FOR CHESTNUT HILLS, CHESTNUT POND, CEDAR <br />HILLS AND WINDEMERE WOODS ADDITIONS) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Ramsey City Council on July 23, <br />1991, the Consulting Engineer has prepared contract documents and specifications for the <br />extension of sanitary sewer and water laterals to the additions of Chestnut Hills, Chestnut Pond, <br />Windemere Woods and Cedar Hills and has presented such contract documents and specifications <br />to the Council for approval. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That such contract documents and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and <br />made a part hereof, are hereby approved. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and <br />in the Construction Bulletin, an advertisement for bids upon the making of such <br />improvement under such approved contract documents and specifications. The <br />advertisement shall be published for 21 days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state <br />that bids will be received by the City Administrator until 2:00 p.m. on October 29, 1991 at <br />which time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the Ramsey Municipal <br />Center by the City Administrator and City Engineer, will then be tabulated, and will be <br />considered by the Ramsey City Council at 7:30 p.m. on November 12, 1991 in the Council <br />Chambers. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid <br />will be given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids <br />will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Administrator and accompanied by <br />a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City of Ramsey <br />for five (5) percent of the amount of such bid. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Cich and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson <br />Councilmember Peterson <br />Councilmember Cich <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Hardin <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
