Councilmember Elvig stated that he would prefer to have some of the application material. <br /> <br />2) Reorganization structure changes for Public Works Department. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cook explained that this issue was brought forward for preliminary discussion <br />and will be brought back at the next City Council work session. <br /> <br />MAYOR, COUNCIL AND STAFF INPUT <br /> <br />1) Reschedule March 7, 2006 City Council Work Session <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman explained that Caucuses are being held at 7:00 p.m. on March 7th SO <br />the City Council Work Session needed to be rescheduled. <br /> <br />Consensus of the City Council was to reschedule the work session to March 7th from 4:00 p.m. to <br />6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />2) Economic Development <br /> <br />Councilmember Strommen requested that the EDA be kept informed as to the progress being <br />made in regards to the China project. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec replied that he anticipated that the EDA will be very involved with the process. <br /> <br />3) City Hall Tour <br /> <br />Councilmember Cook stated that he received a call from the Anoka Technical College <br />Architectural Drafting teacher inquiring if it would be possible to arrange a tour of the new City <br />Hall in approximately three to four weeks. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Nelson replied that she will get in touch with them to try and <br />arrange a tour. <br /> <br />Councilmember Strommen left at 9:03 p.m. <br /> <br />4) Vikings Stadium <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig stated that he has received a couple of calls and e-mails regarding the <br />proposed Viking stadium and asking what the City knows about the proposal or the City's <br />viewpoint on the issue. He questioned if the City should request that the County make a brief <br />presentation to the Council or possibly hold a public forum for the residents so that they can get <br />more information. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec replied that he felt that was an individual issue and did not think that the City <br />should get involved.
