CC Regular Session <br />Meeting Date: <br />Primary Strategic Plan Initiative: <br />Title <br />Approve Rental Licenses <br />09/26/2023 <br />Not Applicable <br />Information <br />5. 2. <br />Purpose/Background: <br />The purpose of this case is to approve the rental license requests for 2023. <br />Background: Detached Single -Family Homes and Attached Single -Family Homes (townhomes, duplex. etc) are <br />required to obtain a license (registration ), but are not subject to inspections (unless the City has sufficient <br />evidence of a violation of the City Code ) <br />Multi -Family Units (apartments, condos, etc.) are subject to the license and inspection program as required by <br />code. <br />License application requests are attached for Council approval. <br />Notification: <br />The Council approved the new Rental Ordinance, which will go into effect January 1, 2024. The current Rental <br />Licenses are being processed with the old standards.
