Permits are not transferable from person to person or from address to <br />address. <br />(E) Termination of permit. The use is not initiated within 12 months of the date of city council approval; or <br />b. The permit is discontinued for a continuous 12-month period; unless a written request <br />for an extension of time has been received and approved by the city council prior to the <br />expiration of the original permit. <br />350 Tree Preservation <br />sections 350 through 354 pertain to tree preservation within the City of Ramsey. <br />351 Tree Preservation Purpose and Intent <br />Purpose. The city council finds it is in the best interest of the city to protect, preserve, and enhance <br />the natural environment by encouraging a resourceful and prudent approach to development and <br />alteration of wooded areas. The city council also recognizes that some amount of tree loss is an <br />inevitable consequence of the development process. The tree preservation regulations herein <br />attempt to maintain a balance between one's rights to develop property with the needs and desires <br />of the community to protect the natural environment. The intent of this section is to preigide <br />support the preservation and <br />protection of significant trees, or stands of trees, to promote the orderly development of such areas <br />and minimize public and private losses. The following regulations address the removal <br />of trees associated with new development.
