<br />Councilmember Howell introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #23-213 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FINAL PAYMENT TO DOUGLAS-KERR <br />UNDERGROUND, LLC, FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #22-05, RIVERDALE DRIVE <br />TRUNK UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS, LLAMA STREET TO BOWERS DRIVE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #21-305 adopted October 26, <br />2021, the City Council accepted the design services proposal of Bolton & Menk, Inc. for providing <br />engineering services required to develop final plans and specifications for the purpose of soliciting <br />bids for the construction of Improvement Project #22-05; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #22-040 the City Council <br />approved the plans and specifications prepared by Bolton & Menk, Inc. for the making of such <br />improvements, and authorized the advertisement of bids for the same improvements as City <br />Improvement Project #22-05; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #22-072 the City Council <br />authorized entering into a construction contract with Douglas-Kerr Underground, LLC., for the <br />making of such improvements at the contract price of $2,163,890.22; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #22-087 the City Council <br />authorized Change Order No. 1, reducing the contract price to $2,124,737.72; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #22-199 Douglas Kerr <br />Underground removed the septic tank on May 3, 2022, in accordance with Change Order #2; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, as of September 26, 2023 $2,073,716.90 has been paid to date; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Senior Engineering Technician has inspected the completed work and <br />recommends final payment to Douglas-Kerr Underground, LLC of Mora, Minnesota, for <br />Improvement Project #22-05, Riverdale Drive Trunk Utility Improvements, Llama Street to <br />Bowers Drive, in the amount of $40,134.44. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the City Council hereby authorizes final payment to Douglas-Kerr Underground, LLC <br />of Mora, Minnesota for Improvement Project #22-05, Riverdale Drive Trunk Utility <br />Improvements, Llama Street to Bowers Drive, in the amount of $40,134.44. <br /> <br />2) The City Council authorizes the Mayor and City Administrator to sign the release form for <br />this payment. <br /> <br /> <br />
