2. 1. <br /> CC Work Session <br /> Meeting Date: 10/10/2023 <br /> Primary Strategic Plan Initiative: Strive for high organizational morale and employee retention <br /> Information <br /> Title: <br /> Update Regarding Recruitment Timelines for 2024 City Positions <br /> Purpose/Background: <br /> The purpose of this discussion is to update the City Council regarding the timelines to recruit for the 2024 <br /> positions which were approved as part of the preliminary budget. <br /> Eight positions were included in the 2024 preliminary budget. The final budget will not be adopted until <br /> December 12, 2023. Due to the time required to perform public sector recruitment and to align with the proposed <br /> start dates for each position, staff will need to start recruiting for three of the positions prior to the final adoption <br /> of the budget,noted in bold red font below. The position timelines are attached.
