1 In all districts, ground source heat pump systems shall be permitted as an accessory use in accordance <br /> 2 with the standards in this section. <br /> 3 (A) System requirements. Only closed loop ground source heat pump systems utilizing heat transfer <br /> 4 fluids are permitted. Open loop ground source heat pump systems are not permitted. <br /> 5 (6) Setbacks. <br /> 6 (1) All components of ground source heat pump systems including pumps, borings, and loops <br /> 7 shall be set back at least five feet from any property boundary. <br /> 8 (2) Above ground equipment associated with the ground source heat pump system shall meet all <br /> 9 required accessory structure setbacks for the applicable zoning district. <br /> 10 (3) The loop field of a ground source heat pump system shall be no closer than five feet from the <br /> 11 water main line. <br /> 12 , <br /> 13t+l+ +r-,i 1 easement. <br /> J <br /> 14 (C) Abandonment. If the ground source heat pump system remains non-functional or inoperative for a <br /> 15 continuous period of one year,the syst�s-"a" "n deemed to "n ablandened and cI ." 630nrti tea <br /> 16 nilb1l,6_nuis-,,,.n.T4,n owner shall remove the abandoned system at their expense,after a demolition <br /> 17 r.nrr�i+�- c. hnnr► Aht_:4ir�n� ire rdanen With AnniirAhln <br /> J <br /> 18 <br /> 19 <br /> 20 <br /> 21 334 Exterior Solid Fuel-Fired Heating Devices <br /> 22 (A) Exterior solid fuel-fired heating devices shall be located at least 75 feet from any property line and <br /> 23 shall not be located in the front yard. <br /> 24 (6) The following materials shall not be used or burned in exterior solid fuel-fired heating devices:grass, <br /> 25 leaves, oils, rubber, plastics, tires, railroad ties, construction debris, and painted or chemically <br /> 26 treated materials such as treated lumber, composite shingles, tar paper, insulation composition <br /> 27 board, sheetrock,wiring, paint, and hazardous and industrial solid waste. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 335Incinerators <br /> 30 Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this chapter, no burning of solid waste, hazardous waste, <br /> 31 medical waste, or special waste by use of an incinerator or hazardous waste incinerator shall be allowed <br /> 32 within the city either as a permitted use or conditional use. <br /> 33 <br /> 34 336 Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Stations <br /> 35 (A) A property owner may install EV charging stations in a parking space in a parking lot or structure <br /> 36 available to the public for free or for a fee. <br /> 37 (6) Parking spaces used for EV charging may be signed as restricted for electric vehicles. <br /> 38 (C) Parking spaces used for EV charging will count towards the overall required number of spaces listed <br /> 39 elsewhere in this chapter. <br /> 40 <br /> 41 340 Personal Use Heliports <br /> 42 (A) General rule. The use of any lot or outlot within the city for helicopter take-offs or landings, either <br /> 43 on a regular, temporary, or occasional basis, shall require a eenditiena4 an interim use permit <br /> 44 lnnrmitl-�ai,l nprrni+ch:411 him preeessed and nnfnr_r_ in accordance with section 235. <br /> 1 r%-I I45 (6) Exceptions.
