Information Title Adopt Resolution#23-245 Approving Change Order#1 for Improvement Project#23-20, COR Mass Grading Purpose/Background: During construction of the COR Mass Grading project, staff identified that the development potential of Parcel 46 could be maximized by realigning the storm sewer south of Parcel 46 closer to Sunwood Drive. Staff therefore requested that Bolton and Menk, Inc. revise the storm sewer design and calculate the associated costs based on unit bid prices of the awarded project. The revised storm sewer alignment is shown in orange linework on the attached storm sewer revisions figure. Observations/Alternatives: This work has not been completed so if Change Order No. 1 is not approved the storm sewer alignment will remain as shown in the COR Mass Grading construction plans,which is represented by the black linework on the attached storm sewer revisions figure. Funding Source: As identified in attached Change Order No. 1,the associated increase in construction costs amounts to $39,716.98, which is proposed to be funded using storm sewer funds. Recommendation: Staff recommends adopting Resolution#23-245 approving Change Order#1 since this will maximize the development potential of Parcel 46,which over time will benefit the City significantly more then the associated construction cost increase.
