ORDINANCE #23-15 <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA, AMENDING CHAPTER 34 <br /> OFFENSES AND MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS,ARTICLE I. IN GENERAL, OF THE CITY <br /> CODE, BY ADDING SECTION 34-2 REGARDING TOBACCO AND CANNABIS USE WITHIN <br /> PUBLIC PROPERTY AND PUBLIC PLACES <br /> The City Council of Ramsey ordains: <br /> Chapter 34, Article I. In General, in the Ramsey City Code is hereby amended by adding Section 34-2 to <br /> read as follows: <br /> SECTION 34-2. TOBACCO AND CANNABIS USE WITHIN PUBLIC PROPERTY AND PUBLIC <br /> PLACES <br /> r'EC <br /> SECTION 1.DEFINITIONS.TOBACCO AND CANNABIS USE PROHIBITED-. <br /> For purposes of this section, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly <br /> indicates or requires a different meaning. <br /> PUBLIC PROPERTY. Property, real and personal, that is owned, managed, or controlled by the City, <br /> including, but not limited to: City buildings and all the land thereon, parking lots, parks, pathways and <br /> trails, and city rights-of-way consisting of both the traveled portion and the abutting boulevard, sidewalks <br /> and trails, and any City personal property, such as motor vehicles, city equipment, and the like. <br /> CANNABIS FLOWER, CANNABIS PRODUCTS, LOWER-POTENCY HEMP EDIBLES, and HEMP- <br /> DERIVED CONSUMER PRODUCTS shall have the meanings as defined in Minn. Stat. §342.01 (enacted <br /> under Minnesota Laws 2023). <br /> TOBACCO and TOBACCO RELATED PRODUCTS shall have meanings as defined in Ramsey City Code <br /> Chapter 26, Article XVI. Tobacco. This includes, but not limited to, any product containing, made, or <br /> derived from tobacco and tobacco-related devices, electronic delivery devices, and nicotine or lobelia <br /> delivery products. <br /> > > <br /> SECTION 2. TOBACCO USE PROHIBITED. <br /> No person shall use tobacco within public property in a manner that involves inhalation of smoke, aerosol, <br /> or vapor, or use any devices that emit smoke, with the exception of the use of tobacco and tobacco related <br /> products aot�T.,"r�, ffflLftilsli an within a vehicle or in a designated area, marked by signage. _ <br /> .v o . <br /> SECTION 3.
