1 Shore impact zone (MRCCA). Land located between the ordinary high water level of public waters and a 2 line parallel to it at a setback of 50 percent of the required structure setback or,for agricultural use, 3 50 feet landward of the ordinary high water level. Shore Impact Zone (M RCCA) Shore Impact Zone trUCAO tr uctu ru ,;P_1 hac Shore impact zone Of StFLJCtur1 setWc 1<1 C"M 5 6 Shoreland means the land within the following distances from public waters: 1,000 feet from the ordinary 7 high water level of a lake, pond, or flowage; and 300 feet from a river or stream, or the landward 8 extent of a floodplain designated by ordinance on a river or stream,whichever is greater.The limits 9 of shorelands may be reduced whenever the waters involved are bounded by topographic divides 10 which extend landward from the waters for lesser distances and when approved by the 11 commissioner. 12 Shoreline facilities. Facilities that require a location adjoining public waters for ingress and egress, loading 13 and unloading, and public water intake and outflow, such as barge facilities, port facilities, 14 commodity loading and unloading equipment, watercraft lifts, marinas, short-term watercraft 15 mooring facilities for patrons, and water access ramps. Structures that would be enhanced by a 16 shoreline location, but do not require a location adjoining public waters as part of their function, 17 are not shoreline facilities, such as restaurants, bait shops, and boat dealerships. 18 Significant historic site means any archaeological site, standing structure, or other property that meets 19 the criteria for eligibility to the National Register of Historic Places or is listed in the State Register 20 of Historic Sites, or is determined to be an unplatted cemetery that falls under the provisions of 21 Minn. Stats. § 307.08.A historic site meets these criteria if it is presently listed on either register or 22 if it is determined to meet the qualifications for listing after review by the state archaeologist or the 23 director of the Minnesota Historical Society. All unplatted cemeteries are automatically considered 24 to be significant historic sites. 25 Slope means the degree of deviation of a surface from the horizontal, usually expressed in percent, 26 degrees, or ratio. 27 Special purpose units of government. The University of Minnesota,the St. Paul Port Authority, watershed 28 management organizations established under Minn.Stats.ch. 10313,watershed districts established 29 under Minn. Stats. ch. 103D, and any other unit of government other than local government or a 30 state or regional agency. Page 20 of 160
