Weekly UPDATE <br />Administrator's Report October 13, 2023 <br />Council Update <br />We're Hiring! <br />The City of Ramsey is hiring for the following positions: <br />• Utilities Maintenance Worker. The primary objective of <br />this position is to provide general and skilled maintenance <br />of public water and sewer utilities. This includes annual <br />maintenance and troubleshooting of hardware, building <br />and grounds maintenance in and around utility structures <br />and equipment, and responding to utility emergencies <br />as necessary. This position will also be involved in <br />snow plowing of public streets, trails and walks. All <br />candidates must have a valid Minnesota driver's license <br />and have the ability to obtain a Minnesota commercial <br />driver's license (Class A or B) with both tanker and air <br />brake endorsements within six (6) months of hire. The <br />2024 wage scale is $27.184 to $33.980 per hour DOQ. <br />Application deadline is 11:59 pm on Sunday, <br />October 29, 2023, so apply immediately if interested. <br />The City of Ramsey is also hiring for the following <br />temporary seasonal staff: <br />• Rink Attendants (7 Openings). The primary objective <br />of this position is to maintain the warming houses during <br />the skating season through responsible, safety -minded <br />work as a part-time temporary Ice Rink Attendant at <br />Central Park and Ramsey Elementary School. Warming <br />houses are expected to open (weather permitting) on <br />Friday, December 15. The wage is $13.00 to $14.50 per <br />hour, depending on qualifications. Application deadline <br />is 11:59 pm on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. Udor USA is a distribution <br />center that was founded in 1989 as a subsidiary company <br />to Udor S.p.A., an Italian manufacturer of industrial <br />diaphragm and plunger pumps. The distribution center <br />includes customer service, sales and marketing, repair and <br />product support. <br />For more information, visit www.udorusa.com. <br />Attached to the Weekly Update is the Udor USA, Inc. <br />Welcome Letter. <br />Fall Water Main Flushing <br />The City of Ramsey's Utility Department is conducting <br />its semi-annual water main flushing now through Friday, <br />October 27. This process flushes iron deposits that may <br />have settled to the bottom of the pipes out of the system. <br />Flushing is necessary for water quality and will disturb the <br />City's water system. Water may be <br />discolored by iron, but it is fit for <br />human consumption. However, <br />discolored water may stain light- <br />colored clothing being washed. <br />To alleviate this problem, you <br />may want to fill your washer with <br />water and check on its clarity <br />before adding your clothes.
