Paul Meyer, Meyer Architect, reviewed the proposed drainage from the property, but noted that <br />the path currently goes under water. <br /> <br />Chairperson Anderson stated that regardless of who is paying for the raising of the path, it would <br />be more economical to do the when the grading for Direct Enclosures is taking place. <br /> <br />Commissioner Johnson questioned if City Staff is negotiating with the applicant on how the cost <br />will be handled. Zoning Administrator Frolik stated yes. <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik noted that they have received the WMO permit for the filling of the <br />wetland area. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Johnson, seconded by Commissioner Kociscak, to recommend that <br />City Council grant site plan approval to Direct Enclosures, Inc. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Commissioner Johnson stated as part of his motion that he doesn't want the <br />applicant to pay for the installment of the equalizer and the raising of the trail. The Staff letter <br />should read "The culvert be added as agreed by the City and the Developer and the installation of <br />the trail parallel to Sunwood Drive be negotiated. <br /> <br />Mr. Meyer stated in the landscaping plan, the city is requesting boulevards trees every 35 feet <br />and questioned if they want the area to be so dense being that it is surrounded by wetlands, but <br />noted they are willing to comply either way. Commissioner Jensen questioned if any berming is <br />being included on the building. Mr. Mayer stated a little on the west side. Zoning Administrator <br />Frolik stated that there is none required. Commissioner Johnson questioned if the City would be <br />willing to landscape the property owned by the City on either side of the site. Community <br />Development Assistant Walther stated yes. <br /> <br />Commissioner Nixt questioned the need for the trail along Sunwood Drive. Zoning <br />Administrator Frolik reviewed existing trails and how the Sunwood Drive trail would connect. <br />Commissioner Nixt didn't think the trail along Sunwood Drive would be necessary. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Anderson, Commissioners Johnson, Kociscak, <br />Dempsey, Jensen, Nixt, and Wivoda.
