Councilmember Howell agreed with Councilmember Specht's idea. Mr. Jung agreed that not only one person in the City should be looking at these types of requests. He added that he would also like to talk about the Police Department. He shared that many of his family members are currently or have been police officers and he has asked Police Chief Katers several times over the past few years to have a police officer to sit in his parking lot to write reports to show the residents that there is police presence in the City at businesses. He stated that he has gotten pushback from this due to the gate; however, he gave the Police Department a gate code so that they can get into the gated area. He noted that the Police Department has come to the property 10 times since March. 4.
