Expansion of this corridor to 4-1anes, as recommended in this Draft <br />Comprehensive Plan, is not forthcoming. <br /> <br />Mn/DOT is currently pursuing a project on TH 47, north of 153ra Avenue. This project <br />will include the addition of turn lanes and bypass lanes. It does not incorporate <br />expansion to 4-lanes, however. We recommend that the Ramsey Draft Comprehensive <br />Plan include the difference between the State's mud City's goals for this highway. <br /> <br />Mn/DOT Metro Division's Transportation System Plan identifies TH 10 as a <br />Management Corridor. Mn/DOT investment strategies for this highway includes <br />preservation strategies, transportation system management, transit support, access <br />management, jurisdictional reassignment, travel demand management, intelligent <br />transportation systems, and corridor preservation. <br /> <br />The city's transportation plan identifies expansion to four or more lanes for this highway. <br />We recommend that the plan include the difference between the State's and City's goals <br />for this highway. <br /> <br />We strongly encourage the City to identify access management practices in the <br />transportation plan. Regional policy advocates the inclusion of provisions for minimizing <br />access to arterials in all comprehensive plans. This could include plans or ordinances for <br />consolidating and limiting access points or zoning and subdivision ordinances that <br />regulate the type, number and location of access points. <br /> <br />An equal opportunity employer <br /> <br /> <br />
