CASE g9 <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS FROM CITY OF ELK RIVER REGARDING JOINT <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION "PLAN SHARE" CONFERENCE <br />By: Acting Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />As you recall at the June 5, 1990 Planning and Zoning Commission meeting, it was brought to <br />your attention that the Elk River Planning and Zoning Commission has requested a joint meeting <br />with surrounding communities to discuss issues of mutual concern. <br /> <br />On June 7, 1990, the City received a letter from the City of Elk River indicating that the joint <br />meeting with surrounding communities is being scheduled for July 17, 1990 from 7:00 p.m. until <br />9:00 p.m. in Elk River. The communities that have been invited to participate are Andover, Big <br />Lake, Buffalo, Elk River, Monticello, Ramsey, Sherburne County, Becker, Burns, Lavonia, <br />Oswego, Rogers and Zimmerman. <br /> <br />The City of Elk River has also provided us with a survey form that they will be using to aid them <br />in creating an itinerary for the joint meeting on July 17, 1990. <br /> <br />Included for your information and review is the "Plan Share" Conference Survey form received <br />from Elk River. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />City staff is requesting that the Commission review the survey form and provide City staff with the <br />necessary information with which to respond to Elk River. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />City Administrator <br />City Attorney <br />City Engineer <br />Acting Community Development Director <br /> <br />X <br /> <br />Chief of Police <br />Finance Officer <br />Planning & Zoning Commission <br />Park & Recreation Commission <br /> <br />X <br /> <br /> <br />
