Veterans Art Installation at City Hall In 2021,the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund called for proposals for memorial projects that would serve veterans and veteran communities.Veteran and local public art advocates applied for and were awarded grant funding for a project that specifically honors Minnesota women veterans and is presently on display at the Ramsey Municipal Center. The 10-foot high,solid steel memorial celebrates a long history of Minnesota Women serving in the military and their many achievements and contributions. - Depicted are a female soldier in combat and a female pilot.Women have proudly _ served in the Army,Navy,Air Force,Marines,Coast Guard and Merchant Marines in active duty,as state reserve,guard duty and activated from the Reserve and National Guard.
