ORDINANCE #9~TM ~ <br /> <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 9 WHICH IS <br />KNOWN AS THE ZONING AND SUBDIVISION <br /> OF LAND CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE OF <br /> RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 9.11 <br />"PERFORMANCE STANDARDS/' SUBSECTION <br /> 9.11.02 "ACCESSORY USES," SUBDIVISION <br /> 12 "SIZE RESTRICTIONS OF ACCESSORY <br /> STRUCTURES" OF CHAPTER 9 OF THE CITY <br /> CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. <br /> The City of Ramsey ordains: <br />SECTION 1. SUMMARY <br /> The following official summary of ordi- <br />nance #98-04 has been approved by the City <br />Council of the City of Ramsey as clearly inform- <br />ing the public of the intent a'nd effect of the <br />Ordinance. <br /> It is the intent and effect of Ordinance <br />#98-04 to amend Ramsey City Code Chapter 9 <br />(Zoning and Subdivision Of Land), Section 9.11 <br />(A'cc~$s'&y '0ge~), Sub'cti~lslb'rt.'12"'CSize <br />Restrictions of Accessory Structures) to amend <br />the regulations for accessory structures to: <br /> Lower the minimum property size thresh- <br /> old from 2.,5 acres to 2.0 acres to allow <br /> construction of metal accessory structures <br /> (pole buildings). <br /> Impose design standards for accessory <br /> structures constructed on properties from <br /> two acres to five acres in size. The design <br /> standards shall include soffit, facia and <br /> eave overhang of the same dimension as <br /> the principal structure. The exterior facing <br /> finish shall be at a minimum color compat- <br /> ible with the principal structure, as deter- <br /> mined by the Building Inspector. Galva- <br /> nized finishes shall not be permitted. <br /> Remove, in the event that the private <br /> garage is less than 864 square feet, the <br /> option of applying to the maximum acces- <br /> sory structure size the difference of the pri- <br /> rate garage square footage from 864 <br /> square feet. Thereby setting an absolute <br /> maximum size unless the Ramsey City <br /> Council allows a variance. <br /> Clarify that computation of the parcel size, <br /> or minimum area of lot, shall not include <br /> the right-of-way of any public street or <br /> thoroughfare, r <br /> SECTION 2.
