ORDINANCE #99-05 CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 9 WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE ZONING AND SUBDIVISION OF LAND CHAPTER OF THE.CiTY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA, N ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 9.02 'DEFINITIONS" AND SECTION 9.11.02 "ACCESSORY USES" OF CHAPTER 9 OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. The City of Ramsey ordains: SECTION L SUMMARY The following official summary of Ordinance #99-05 has been approved by the · City Council of the City of Ramsey as clearly : informing the public of the intent and effect of ~ . the Ordinance, ""' .It is the intent and effect of Ordinance #99-05 to amend Ramsey City Code Chapter 9 (Zpning and Subdivision of Land), Section 9.02 (Definitions) and Section 9.11.02 (Accessory Uses), Subdivisions 3 through 12, to amend the regulations for accessory structures to: · Redefine primary residential garages. . Require a portion of accessory building space allowed to be utilized for a primary garage and establish minimum and maxi- mum size limits on primary garages. Change all references to "accessory struo tures' to "accessory buildings". Changes references to rural and urban districts to property in or out of the Metropolitan Urban Service District. Clari~ that primary garages are considered accessory buildings. Eliminate the single building size restric- tion. Establish maximum numbers of accessory building allowed on parcels. Extend the requirement for soffit, fascia and cave overhang on metal accessory buildings from parcels 2 to 5 acres in size tq pa(cels from 2 to 5.59 acres in size. SECTION 4. EFFECTIVE DATE The effective date of this ordinance is thirty days after it.s passage and publication, to City Charter Section 5.07. Adopted by the Ramsey City Council the 27th day of April, 1999.
