<br />AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 9 OF THE
<br />CITY CODE, WHICH CHAPTER IS KNOWN
<br />~.S ,HE ZONING AND SUBDIVISION OF
<br /> CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE.
<br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION
<br />9.15 (TOWERS) OF THE CITY CODE OF
<br />RAMSEY, MINNESOTA.
<br />The City of Ramsey ordains:
<br />SECTION 1. ORDINANCE SUMMARY FOR '
<br />PUBLICATION
<br /> The following is the official summary of
<br />Ordinance #00-13, which has been approved:
<br />by the City Council of the City of Ramsey as
<br />dearly informing the public of the intent and ~
<br />effect of th~ ordinance:
<br /> Sec~tion 9.15.03, Towers in Residential:
<br />Zoning Districts, has been modified to restrict:
<br />commercial towers to Residential parcels at
<br />least 10 acres in size that are located in an area .
<br />to be designated as the tower overlay district:
<br />on the official Zoning map, and all other park,
<br />church, government, school, utility, and insti-
<br />tutional sites at least 10 acres in size.
<br /> Section 9.15.05.2.a, Use of City Owned
<br />Land for Wireless Telecommunications
<br />Antennas and Towers, has been modified to
<br />require park sites to be at least 10 acres in size
<br />in Order to qualify as a side for a commercial
<br />tower.
<br /> Section 9.15.05.a and b, Co-Location
<br />Requirements, has been modified to increase
<br />the search radius from 1/2 mile to 1 mile and
<br />require all towers to accomodate at least two
<br />addtional users, regardless of the proposed
<br />height,
<br /> Section 9AS.08,'Tower Setbacks, has been
<br />modified to include language requiring a
<br />tower setback from residential dwellings equal
<br />to 1.5 timf~s the tower height.
<br /> Section 9.15.09, Tower Height, has been
<br /> to increase the height limit on towers
<br /> iai dist?icts from 7.5 to 120 feet and
<br />eliminate language allowing for additional
<br />height to accomodate a second user because a
<br />design to accomodate 2 additional users will
<br />now be required per the amendments to
<br />9.15.05.
<br /> Section 9.15.14, Antennas on Roofs, Walls
<br />and Existing Towers has been modified to
<br />include existing structures.
<br /> Section 9.15.17, Antennas Designed for
<br />Private Reception of Television and Radio
<br />Signals, has been modified to increase the pri-
<br />vate antenna height exemption from 50 feet to
<br />60 feet,
<br /> SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE
<br /> The effective date of this Ordinance is thir-
<br />ty (30) days afl.er its passage and publication,
<br />subject to City Charter Section 5.07.
<br /> PASSED by the City Council of the City of
<br />Ramsey, Minnesota, this the 19th day of
<br />Oecember, 2000.
