SUMMARY · "~ This ordinance amends, certain sec- i tions of the City's Ordioance No. 98-02. · 'The purpose of Ordinance No. 98-02 is !' Jfo regulate the sale, possession of and the ~ '{~se of tobacco, tobacco products and tobacco related devices by minors. This i' amendment ordinance provides for the icodification of Ordinance'No. 98-02 into .'. the City Code, adds a definition of the : "term "Exclusive Tobacco Store", prohibits the entry of Exclusive Tobacco Stores by ~ minors, requires tobacco licensees to educate their employees as to state and local laws relating to tobacco and tobac- co product sales, and requires licensees to at least annually attend a City spon- sored educational seminar related to the sales of tobacco and tobacco related ;products. SECTION 2. EFFECTIVE DATE '.This Ordinance becomes effective upon its passage and thirty (30) days after its publication according to law, subject to City Charter Provision, Section 5,04.
