<br />· 3, N~embers of the Board shall be appointed by
<br />a:malority vote of the City Council for terms of
<br />three years, except that any person 'appointed to
<br />fill a vacancy occurring prior to the expiralion of
<br />the term for which is predecessor WaS appointed
<br />shall be appointed only for the remainder of such
<br />term.
<br />'4. Members of the Board shall be residents of
<br />the Ci'ty of Ramsay while serving onthe Board
<br />and shall represent a broad range of i~terest in
<br />the fire safety function of the City.
<br />5. The Board became effective on their first
<br />meeting on Aug~ust 15, 1988.
<br />6. Members may resign Voluntarily or may be
<br />removed from office by a maiority vote of the
<br />City Council. Three consecutive unexcused ab-
<br />sences from duly called Board meetings shall
<br />constitute automatic resignation from office.
<br />~/acancies n the board are to be filled bY City
<br />CoDnciJ appointment with a maiority vote.
<br />-7. Members shall serve without compensation.
<br />H. RULESAND PROCEDURES
<br />The Board shall adopt such rules and
<br />procedures not inconaistenl With these
<br />pro~(~sions a~ may be necessary for the proper
<br />exeEution and conduct of business.
<br />I. MEETINGS
<br />Regular meetings, shall be held at least four
<br />times annually with-date and time determined
<br />by the boar~, Spec:iai meetings may be called by
<br />the chairperson. All meetings shall be public
<br />meetings and open to the public.
