• <br />• <br />ORDINANCE #02 -04 <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA' <br />AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 7 OF <br />THE CITY CODE, WHICH CHAPTER IS <br />KNOWN AS THE LICENSING AND PER- <br />MITS CHAPTER OF THE CITY' CODE. <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SEC- <br />} TION 7.13.06 HOLDING OF PROPERTY <br />OF -THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MIN- <br />NESOTA. ' <br />The City of Ramsey ordains: <br />SECTION 1. ORDINANCE SUMMARY FOR <br />PUBLICATION <br />The following is the official summary <br />of Ordinance #02 -04, which has been <br />approved by the City Council of the City <br />of Ramsey as clearly informing the public <br />of the intent and effect of the ordinance: <br />Section 7.13.06, Holding of Property, <br />has been modified to increase the num- <br />ber of days a pawnshop must hold on to <br />items from five (5) days to thirty (30) <br />days. This will allow the Police <br />Department more time to' check reports <br />and more time for citizens to make <br />reports of stolen or missing items. <br />SECTION 2. EFFECTIVE DATE <br />The effective date of this Ordinance is <br />thirty (30) days after its passage and pub- <br />lication, subject to City Charter Section <br />5.07. <br />PASSED by the City Council of the <br />City of Ramsey, Minnesota, this the 22nd <br />day of January 2002. <br />Thomas G.
