• <br />ORDINANCE #02 -06 <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 5 <br />• , WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE MUNICIPAL <br />REGULATIONS CHAPTER OF THE CITY <br />CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SEC - <br />•TION 5.09.04 "BARNS AND STABLES" OF <br />'CHAPTER 5 OF THE CITY CODE OF RAM. <br />;SEY, MINNESOTA. <br />The City of Ramsey ordains: <br />SECTION 1. AMENDMENT <br />Section 5.09.04 (Barns and Stables), <br />Subd. 1, shall be amended to read as fol- <br />lows: <br />Subd. 1. No stable or barn in which <br />horses, sheep, cows, goats or other ani- <br />mals are kept may be located within 50 <br />feet of a place of human habitation and <br />75 feet of neighboring property lines. <br />Such stables and barns, where lawful, <br />;shall be kept clean. Manure shall be <br />.removed with sufficient frequency to <br />-avoid nuisance from odors or from the <br />breeding of flies at least once every two <br />: weeks. <br />SECTION 2. SUMMAgy <br />The following official summary of <br />Ordinance #02.06 has been approved by <br />. the City Council of the City of Ramsey as , <br />-clearly informing the public of the intent <br />:and effect of the Ordinance: <br />It is the intent and effect of <br />Ordinance #02 -06 to amend Ramsey City <br />' Code to relocate the setback for barns <br />from neighboring property lines from <br />! Chapter 9 (Zoning and Subdivision of <br />Land), Section 9.20.11 (R -1 Rural <br />Residential District) to Chapter 5 <br />(Municipal Regulations), Section 5.09.04 <br />(Barns and Stables). <br />0 SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE <br />The effective date of this ordinance is <br />thirty (30) days after its passage and pub- <br />lication, subject to City Charter Section <br />5.07. <br />Adopted by the Ramsey City Council <br />the 12th day of February 2002. <br />Thomas G.
