"public Sewer" or "Municipal Sewer" shall mean the municipal sewer <br /> system of the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br /> "Sanitary Sewer" shall mean a sewer which carries sewage and to which storm, <br /> surface and ground waters are not intentionally admitted. <br />i"~ewage" shall mean a combination of the water-carried wastes from residence, <br />· b~siness buildings, institutions and industrial establishments. <br /> "~ewer" shall mean a pipe or conduit for carrying sewage. <br /> <br />["Sewer Lateral" shall mean that portion of the sewerage system located between <br />th~ property line and the sewer main. <br /> <br />4.40.{ <br />No pc <br /> <br />14 TAMPERING WITH SYSTEMS PROHIBITED <br /> <br />rso~ shall maliciously, willfully or negligently break, damage, destroy, uncover, <br /> <br />defae{: or !amper with any structure, appurtenance or equipment which is a part of the City <br />sani~'y s~wer system or the City water system. <br />4.40;05 ACCESS TO PREMISES <br />The Qity !Inspector, so designated, and other duly authorized employees of the City, <br />bearir~,g p~coper identification, shall at reasonable times be permitted to enter upon all <br />propcgiesifor the purpose of inspection, observation, measurement, sampling and testing <br />in c0fl_nee~ion with the operation of the City sanitary sewer system or the City water <br />syster~. Shch employees shall also be permitted to enter for inspection, meter reading and <br />exam~"~inl~ fixtures causing unnecessary waste of water to the detriment of the system. <br />Said :[e~pt.byee(s) shall promptly notify the owner or occupant of such premises in writing <br />of req[hire~ repairs, if any, and, in the event any required repairs are not made within ten <br />(10) d~ys, ~the City may shut off the water. <br /> <br />4.40-.06 MUNICIPAL WATER <br /> Subd. 1. Operation, Records and Inspection <br /> a. The City shall provide for the proper operation and maintenance of the <br /> municipal water system and shall enforce all rules and regulations pertaining to <br /> the same. <br /> <br /> ih. :~The City shall keep a record of the exact location and size of all parts of the <br /> ',municipal water systems, connections thereto, and other measurements or <br /> t ~,records which may be necessary. <br /> <br /> !c, !The City shall superintend all connections for service, and examine all service <br /> i ipipes to ensure that they are properly laid, and that all meters are properly <br /> iinstalled and operating. The City also shall have charge of inspecting the <br /> ipremises entered by service pipes, examining the condition of all water fixtures, <br /> and shall warn against all abuses of the municipal water systems including <br /> potential cross connections. <br /> <br /> Page 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
