Regional flood is <br />synonymous ~,~i}~!the term "base flood" used in the Flood Insurance Study. <br /> i.i "ll[egulatory Flood Protection Elevation" The Regulatory Flood Protection <br />Elevation shifll b6qan elevation no lower than one foot above the elevation of the regional flood plus <br /> · ~' ' ' ' m <br />any tncreas~m {flood elevataon caused by encroachments on the flood plmn that result fro <br />designation bf. a floodway. <br /> ! "~ruc/ure" anything constructed or erected on the ground or attached to the <br />ground or o~sit~utilities, including, but not limited to, buildings, factories, sheds, detached <br />garages, cal~_t~s, ~anufactured homes, travel trailers/vehicles not meeting the exemption criteria <br />specified in l[ ~9.22.09 Subd. 3a of the ordinance and other similar items. <br /> !" ~,riance" means a modification of a specific permitted development standard <br />required in an~offt~al control including this ordinance to allow an alternative development standard <br />not stated agree _~table in the official control, but only as applied to a particular property for the <br />purpose of alleviitting a hardship, practical difficulty or unique circumstance as defined and <br />elaborated upon ~ a community's respective planning and zoning enabling legislation. <br />9.22.03 ~Es~ablishment of Zoning Districts. <br /> <br /> ~a.; Floodway District. The Floodway District shall include those areas <br /> [ t designated as floodway on the Flood Boundary and Floodway Map adopted <br /> ~ in §9.22.02. <br /> I b. Flood Fringe District. The Flood Fringe District shall include those areas <br /> I designated as floodway fringe on the Flood Boundary and Floodway Map <br /> i adopted in §9.22.02. <br /> c. General Flood Plain District. The General Flood Plain District shall include <br /> ~ those areas designated as unnumbered A Zones on the Flood Insurance Rate <br /> [ Map adopted in {}9.22.02 <br /> ~ r <br />iSul id. 2 Compliance: No new structure or land shall hereafter be used and no <br />structure shall~e ~cated, extended, converted, or structurally altered without full compliance with <br />the terms oE~i~ ordinance and other applicable regulations which apply to uses within the <br />jurisdiction @t[, ti ~ ordinance. Within the Floodway, Flood Fringe and General Flood Plain <br />Districts, all.l.~sse .~not listed .... as permitted uses or conditional uses in {}9.22.04, .{}9'22'05 and <br />{}9.22.06 that~-f~lloW, respecnvely, shall be prohthited. In ad&tion, a caunon is provided here that: <br /> <br /> Ia. i New manufactured homes, replacement manufactured homes and certain <br /> ' ! I travel trailers and travel vehicles are subject to the general provisions of this <br /> i : ordinance and specifically {}9.22.09; <br /> ib. i Modifications, additions, structural alterations or repair after damage to <br /> ~ existing nonconforming structures and nonconforming uses of structures or <br /> <br />land are regulated by the general provisions of this ordinance and <br />specifically {}9.22.11; and <br /> <br /> <br />
