BDIVISION OF LAND" CHAPTER OF THE CiTY CODE OF R~MSEY, MINNESOTA. .AN ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION 9.15 "TOWERS", OF CHAPTER 9 OF THE CITY CODE OF.,RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. SUMMARY The following official summary of Ordinance #97-08 has been approved by the City Council of the City of Ramsey as clearly informing the public of the intent and effect of the Ordinance. In order to accommodate the communica- tion needs of residents and business while pro- retting the public health, ~afety, and general welfare of the community, the Council finds that these regulations are necessary in order to: ,, (a) facilitate the provision of wireless telecommunication services to the residents and businesses of the City; (b) minimize adverse visual effects of towers through careful design and siting standards; (c) avoid potential damage to adjacent properties from tower failure through structural standards and setback requirements; and, (d) maximize the use of existing and approved towers and buildings to accOmmo- , date new wireless telecommunication antennas . in order to reduce the number of towers needed .. to se~e the community. FFFECTIVE DATE The effective date of this Ordinance is thi~'y 'r (30) days after its passage and publication, sub- ject to City Charter Section $.07.
