- 2 - <br /> <br /> 210.022 0pera~ion, Records and Inspection. The <br />City is required to properly operate and maintain the water and <br />sanitary sewer systems, keep accurate records as to the location <br />and size of all parts of the system and superintend all <br />connections for service. <br /> <br /> 210.023 Applications for Service. Each property <br />owner desiring to hook up shall apply to the City. No sale or <br />transfer of property can be made unless the property has been <br />hooked-up. Sanitary sewer hook-up will have to be made when <br />there is a need for septic system or cesspool repair or within <br />two (2) years of when sanitary sewer service is available to the <br />property, unless it is demonstrated that hook-up is not <br />feasible. <br /> <br /> 210.024 Permits for Taps, Special Assessments. No <br />permit to connect to the water or sewer system will be issued <br />unless the special assessment procedures as to the property in <br />question have been complied with. <br /> <br /> 210.O25 Fees and Permits. A system of fees and <br />permits is hereby established in order to regulate hook-ups to <br />the water and sewer system, turning water on or off and for <br />depositing contents from any vault, privy, cesspool, septic <br />tank or private drain into the sanitary sewer system. <br /> <br /> 210.O26 Rates and Charges. The City Council <br />shall from time to time establish rates for water usage and <br />sewer collection and treatment. A system for filing and <br />collection of these charges is provided in the Ordinance. <br /> <br /> 210.027 Sprinkling; Limitations. Use of lawn <br />hoses is generally permitted, except in the case of fire in the <br />area served by the water system or a water shortage as <br />determined of the City. <br /> <br /> 210.O28 Meters. The City shall own, control and <br />supply the water meters. The City will pay for the cost of <br />ordinary maintenance to meters, but meters damaged by <br />carelessness or neglect of the owner or occupant of the premises <br />will require that the owner or occupant pay for the damage. Also <br />a system for installing and testing the meters is established. <br /> <br /> 210.029 Access to Premises. City employees shall <br />at reasonable times be permitted to enter upon all properties for <br />inspection in relation to the water and/or sewer systems. If <br />repairs are necessary the owner or occupant will be promptly <br />notified aand if the repairs are not completed within 10 days, <br />the City may shut off the water. <br /> <br /> 210.0210 Connections. A detailed procedure for <br />connections is provided. In addition, no connection may be made <br />unless the City has issued an inspection permit and the <br /> <br /> <br />
