- 5 - <br /> <br />in order to assist in providing funds for the <br />replacement of equipment and/or vehicles. <br /> <br />The Equipment Revolving Fund is eligible for <br />interfund loans to and from any other fund. <br /> <br />5o ADHINSTRATIVE TRUST FUND <br /> <br />The Administrative Trust Fund shall be used to <br />account for a surcharge levied against each special <br />assessment to finance the administrative costs that <br />are generated in the General Fund in maintaining <br />the special assessments. Each year a portion of <br />the balance in this fund will be transferred to the <br />General Fund to cover these costs. <br /> <br />The Administrative Trust Fund is eligible for <br />interfund loans to and from other funds. <br /> <br />INVESTMENT TRUST FUND <br /> <br />The Investment Trust Fund shall be an interim fund <br />only used to account for and distribute earned <br />interest to the various City funds. This fund is <br />closed each year prior to issuance of the annual <br />financial statements and has no budget because of <br />its temporary nature. <br /> <br />The Investment Trust Fund is not eligible for <br />interfund loans. <br /> <br />NONEXPENDABLE TRUST FUNDS <br /> <br />Nonexpendable Trust Funds are funds whose principal must <br />be preserved intact. There funds are intended to <br />account for the principal portion of an endowment <br />provided to the City by private donors with the <br />stipulation that the principal be preserved intact. <br /> <br />As of the adoption date of this chapter there is no <br />need for the establishment of a fund(s) under this <br />classification. <br /> <br />PENSION TRUST FUNDS <br /> <br />Pension Trust Funds shall be used to account for City <br />operated public employee retirement systems. <br /> <br />As of the adoption date of this chapter there is no <br />need for the establishment of a fund(s) under this <br />classification. <br /> <br />ACENCY FUNDS <br /> <br />Agency Funds shall be custodial funds (assets equal <br /> <br /> <br />
