On parcels of land one (1) acre and less than two and one-half (2-1/2) <br />acres in size, the accessory structure and/or attached or detached <br />garage shall be built with the same type construction materials and <br />shall have the same general design and exterior facing finish as that <br />of the principal structure located on the parcel. <br /> <br />~arce]s of Land 2~1/2 Acres and Greater <br /> <br />On parcels of land two and one-half (2-1/2) acres in size, accessory <br />structures shall not exceed 1,200 square feet. On parcels of land <br />greater than two and one-half (2-1/2) acres in size, accessory <br />structures may be an additional 400 square feet in size for each full <br />or partial acre that the parcel size exceeds two and one-half (2-1/2) <br />acres. ~he following table shows the permitted maximum accessory <br />structure sizes for various parcel sizes. <br /> <br />~aximum Accessory Structure Size <br /> <br />2.5 acres <br />2.6 acres <br />3.0 acres <br />3.5 acres <br />3.6 acres <br />5.0 acres <br />5.6 acres <br />6.6 acres <br />8.6 acres <br />9.6 acres <br />10.6 acres and larger <br /> <br />1200 square feet <br />1600 square feet <br />1600 square feet <br />1600 square feet <br />2000 square feet <br />2400 square feet <br />2800 square feet <br />3200 square feet <br />4000 square feet <br />4400 square feet <br />4800 square feet <br /> <br />In the event that the attached or detached garage located on the same <br />parcel of land does not exceed 864 square feet, the accessory <br />structure may also include the difference between the square footage <br />of the attached or detached garage and 864 square feet. In no event <br />shall the total square footage of the attached or detached garage and <br />the accessory structure exceed 5,664 square feet on any parcel of land <br />two and one-half (2-1/2) acres and greater in size. <br /> <br />On parcels of land two and one-half (2-1/2) acres and greater in size, <br />all accessory structures shall have a design and exterior facing <br />finish which is compatible, as determined by the Building Inspector, <br />with the principal structure. Galvanized finishes shall not be <br />permitted. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. ~.~ <br /> <br />City of Ramsey Ordinance 79-4 is hereby repealed. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE <br /> <br />~his ordinance becomes effective thirty days after its passage and <br />publication subject to City Charter Section 5.04. <br /> <br />Ordinance #85-13 <br /> <br /> <br />
