PRINTER'S AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA ) ss <br />County of Anoka ) <br /> <br />ORDINANCE #81-6 <br /> <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 170.05, WHICH IS <br />KNOWN AS THE INTOXICATING LIQUOR <br />CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, <br />MINNESOTA. <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 130.057 <br />ENTITLED "LICENSE FEES, PARAGRAPH 6 OF <br />THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY~ MINNESOTA. <br /> The City Couhcll of Jhe City of Ramsay, Minnesota <br />ordains: <br />SECTIO~ 1, AMENDMErNT <br /> Section 170~057 paragraph 6 Is amended to read as <br />follows: <br /> 6. No part Of the fee paid for a~y license Issued <br />under this chapter shall be refunded 'except in the <br />following Instances upon application to the council <br />within thirty (30) days from the' happening of the <br />event. The council may in Its ludgmenl refund a pro <br />rata portion of the fee for the upexplred period of the <br />license, computed on a monthly I~as!s, when <br />operation of the licensed businesS., ceases not less <br /> ~an one (1)' month before e>~iratlon of the license <br /> ;of: <br /> a) Destructlori or damage of the Ilcensod premises <br />by fire or other catastrophe; <br /> b) A change in the legal status of the municipality <br />making it unlawful for a licensed business to con- <br />tinue; <br /> c) The death of the IIc'enseeo managing parlner, or <br />managing officer of the licensee; <br /> d) The transfer of ownership of the licensed <br />premises and then only when 1he new owner on <br />transfer receives a lice,nsc under this chapter and <br />has paid the appropr!ate pro rata license fee such <br />that the City will r~ce!'~e a full ilc~ense fee for that <br />particular license year. <br />SECTION 2. Bodley, being duly sworn, on oath says'he is and during all the times herein stated <br />has been the managing editor of the newspaper known as the Anoka County Union and has <br />full knowledge of the facts herein stated as follows: (1) Said newspaper is printed in the <br />English language in newspaper format and in column and sheet form equivalent in printed <br />space to at least 1200 square inches (2) Said newspaper is a weekly and is distributed once <br />each week for at least 50 weeks of each year. (3) Said newspaper, in at least half of its issues <br />each year, has no more than 75 per cent of its printed space comprised of advertising <br />material and paid legal notices; and in all of its issues each year, has 50 per cent of its news <br />columns devoted to news of local interest to the community it purports to serve, and not <br />more than 25 per cent of its total non-advertising column inches in any issue duplicates any <br />other publication. (4) Said newspaper is circulated in and near the municipality which it <br />purports to serve, has at least 500 copies regularly delivered to paying subscribers and has <br />entry as second-class matter in its local post-office. (5) Said newspaper purports to serve <br />the City of Anoka in the County of Anoka and has its known office of issue in the City of Coon <br />Rapids in said county. (6) Said newspaper files a copy of each issue immediately with the <br />State Historical Society. (Sa) Said newspaper is made available at single or subscription <br />prices to any person, corporation, partnership, or other unincorporated association <br />requesting the newspaper and making the applicable payment. (7) Said newspaper has <br />complied with all the foregoing conditions for at least one year preceding the day or dates of <br />publication mentioned below.
