ORDIN~NC~ SU~R¥ <br /> <br />ORDINANCE ~81-4 <br />SCENIC RIVER ORDINANCE <br />CITY OF RAMgE¥ <br />ANOKA fDONTY, MINNESO~I~ <br /> <br />An amendment to Chapter 170.01 which is known as the "Zoning" Chapter of the <br />City Code of Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />~he City Council of the City of Ramsey hereby ordains: <br /> <br />170.071 <br /> <br />POLICY AND AUTHORIZATION <br /> <br /> The purpose of this ordinance is to control bluffland and riverland <br />development to protect and preserve the scenic, recreational, natural, <br />historical and scenic values of the Rum River in Ramsey in accordance with <br />Minnesota Statutes, Section 104.31 - 104.40, Minnesota Regulations NR 78 - 81, <br />and the Management Plan for the Rt~ River (6 Mfi~R 1.2700 - 1.2720). <br /> <br />170.072 TITLE <br /> <br />~his ordinance is known as the Scenic River Ordinance. <br /> <br />170.073 <br /> <br />SCOPE AND INTERPRE~I~TION <br /> <br /> ~he provisions of this ordinance shall apply to the designated Scenic River <br />Land Use District in acoordance with the property descriptions in 6 M(I~R 1.2700 <br />- 1.2720. Where this ordinance imposes greater restrictions, the provisions of <br />this ordinance shall prevail. Any land use within the Scenic River Land Use <br />District shall be in oompliance with the terms of this ordinance. Permits are <br />required by this ordinance for the oonstruction of buildings, water supplies <br />and sewage treatment systems, grading and filling of natural topography and <br />erection of signs within the Scenic River Land Use District. <br /> <br />170.073.5 <br /> <br />DEFINITIONS <br /> <br />170.074 <br /> <br />DISTRICT APPLI(I~TIONS <br /> <br /> ~he Scenic River Land Use District shall be divided into two districts; that <br />portion within the City's 1990 Urban Area and the r~m~aining portion within the <br />City's Rural Area. ~he Scenic River Land Use District shall be shown on the <br />Official Zoning Map. Where the provisions of this ordinance are in conflict <br />with the Management Plan for the Rt~ River, the provisions of the Rum River <br />Management Plan shall apply. <br /> <br />170.075 USES <br /> <br />170.075.1 URBAN AREA <br /> <br /> Permitted uses are all permitted uses allowed and regulated by the <br />applicable zoning district underlying the Scenic River Land Use District in the <br />Urban Area as indicated on the Official Zoning Map. Public roads, utility <br />crossings and all private and commercial recreation uses shall be conditional <br /> <br /> <br />
