<br /> SECTION 1. PURPOSE :
<br /> The purpose of this ordinance is to require a eer-
<br />tifi~:ale Of oCCulSancy for al new structures and for all
<br />slrudures used in a non-conforming ma'.nner within
<br />RamSey Towhship in order to assure that 'ill P~amsey
<br />'l'ownshlp'6rdinances are Complied with pr!or to.such

<br />SECTION 2. CERTI'FICATE OF OCCUPANCY.
<br />NO 6uilding or Structure hereafter erected, struc-
<br />turall'y ~ltered or moved, o~; that portion Of an existing
<br />stru~lure ~(~r building.erected or moved shall be oc-
<br />cupied or';used in whole or in part for any purpose
<br />whalsoever until a certificate of occupancy shall have
<br />been issued by ~he zon, ing officer stating, that the

<br />a) Culvert where necessary: If in the discretion Of

<br /> SECTION 4. APPLIED FO~ WI,TH:PERMIT AND

<br /> All certificates of occupancy sha~l'b~applied f6r co:
<br /> incldent with the application for a :~ilding permit.
<br /> Saidcertific~te shall be ssued w th n lep. d.,~ys after the
<br /> erection, mbving or alteration~sl~'a!ii'have been ap-
<br /> proved. The ~oning officer shall make,the final building
<br /> code and occupancy permit inspection at no further
<br /> cost fo the .applicant:and upon the request of the ap-
<br /> plicant. However, if at this final, building code in.
<br /> spection, the zoning officer determine~ that further
<br /> items need completion prior to issuing the Occupancy
<br /> permit, end it is necessary for the .zonibg offi. cer to
<br /> make one or more return inspectieg~, .then each.e~tra
<br /> inspection shall be Twenty Five ah'd 00-106 ($25.00)
<br /> Dollars per inspection, payable in advance and fo tl~e

<br /> SECTION 5. RECORD. - ~ ~;:
<br /> The zoning officer shall maintain: a record of all
<br /> Certificates and copies shall be furnished upon request
<br /> to any person having a proprietary or tenancy interest
<br /> in the building affected.
<br /> SECTION 6. MANDATORY-.
<br /> No permit or excavation :for, :or the erection or
<br /> alteration of or repairs fo any building sh~ll be issued
<br /> until an application has been made for a certificate of
<br /> occupancy.
<br /> SECTIO'N 7. MOVED HOUSE.
<br /> A certificate of OCCUpancy shah be issued to the
<br /> owners of the dwelling which has been moved only
<br /> after said owner has complied With a!l of 'the provisions
<br /> of this ordinance.
<br /> SECTION 8. PENALTIES.
<br /> Any person violating the provisions of this ordinance
<br /> shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction
<br /> thereof shall be punished by a fine.not to exceed Three
<br /> Hundred Do'lwars ($300.00) or imprisonm'ent for not to
<br /> exceed ninety (90} days. Each day a violation is per-
<br /> milted to exist shall constitute a separate offense.
<br /> SECTION 9. REPEALER; .
<br /> Ordinance 73-3, adopted May. i, 1973, is hereby
<br /> repealed.'
<br /> SECTION 10. SEVERABILiTY CLAUSE.
<br /> If any sectiph, sub-sectipn, clause or phrase of this
<br /> ordinance is for any reason held to be unconstitutional,
<br /> such decisibn shall not affect the validity of the
<br /> remaining portions of this ordinance. ~-he Town Board
<br /> of the Township ,o.f Ramsay hereby declares that it
<br /> would have passed this ordinance, any section, suls-
<br /> section, sentence, clause or phrase thereof;
<br /> irrespective of the fact that any one or more ~ections,
<br /> sub-sections, sentences~ clauses or phrases be declared
<br /> unconstitutional.
<br /> sEcTION 11. EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br /> This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
<br /> and after its passage and publication.
<br /> PASSED by the Town Board this 19ih day of August,
<br /> 1974.

<br />paper known as The Anoka County Union and has full knowledge of the facts herein
<br />stated as follows: (1) Said newspaper is printed in the English language in news-
<br />paper format and in column and sheet form equivalent in printed space to at least
<br />900 square inches. (2) Said newspaper is a weekly and is distributed at least once
<br />each week. (3) Said newspaper has 50% of its news columns devoted to news of
<br />local interest to the community which it purports to serve and docs not wholly dupli-
<br />cate any other publication and is not made up entirely of patents, plate matter and
<br />advertisements. (4) Said newspaper is circulated in and near the municipality which
<br />it purports to serve, has at least fi00 copies regularly delivered to paying subscribers,
<br />has an average of at least 75% of its total circulation currently paid or no more than
<br />three months in arrears and has entry as second-class matter in its local post-office.
<br />(5) Said newspaper purports to serve the City of Anoka in the County of Anoka and
<br />it has its known office of issue in the City of Anoka in said county, established and
<br />open during its regular business hours for the gathering of news, sale of advertise-
<br />ments and sale of subscriptions and maintained by Arch G. Pease or persons in his
<br />employ and subject to his direction and control during all such regular business hours
<br />and at which said newspaper is printed. (6) Said newspaper files a copy of each
<br />issue immediately with the State Historical Society. (7) Said newspaper has eom-
<br />plied with all the foregoing conditions for at least two years preceding the day or
<br />dates of publication mentioned below. (8) Said newspaper has filed with the Secretary
<br />of State of Minnesota prior to January 1, 19~6 and each January 1 thereafter an affi-
<br />davit in the form prescribed by the Secretary of State and signed by Arch G. Pease
<br />and sworn to before a notary public stating that the newspaper is a legal newspaper.
