Section t9 <br /> Cats shall be included as controlled by this ordinance <br />iosofar as pickup, impounding and boarding is <br />concerned. The licensing of cats shall not be required, <br />nor proof of anti-rables vaccine. Al I other provisions of <br />this ordinance shall apply to cats. <br />Section 20 KENNELS AND DOG HOSPITALS <br /> Noperson, firm or corporation shall maintain in this <br />township a kennel or hospital where doga are kept for <br />sole, trained, boorded or treoted on a fee basis <br />wilhout securing a license therefor from the town <br />clerk, provided, however~ that the owner of not more <br />than two female dogs kept for breeding purposes will <br />not be said lo operate a kennel. The license fee shall be <br />Tllree ($3.00) Oollars per dog annually. This fee shall <br />be in addition to the license fee prescribed in the <br />preceding sections for each dog kept in such kennel. It <br />shall be neceaasr y lo apply for and secure a special use <br />permit fram Ramsay Township Planning <br />Commission and the Town Board before a kennel will <br />ho permitted wilhin tho township. The special use <br />permit application shall be administered in <br />accordance wilh lbo Ramsay Township Zoning Plan <br />and Building Code ordinance. <br />Section 21 RESTRICTIONS ON CERTAIN DOGS ~ <br /> a. If shall be unlawful for any person to keep or <br />harbor a dog which habitually barks Or cries between <br />thehours Of 10:00 p.m., and 6:00 a.m., it shall be ut~J¢- <br />for any dog Owner to permit his dog to damage any <br />lawn, garder or other property. Any dog aforesaid in <br />thissection may be impounded as provided in Section 8 <br />or a complaint may be issued by anyone against the <br />owner of the dog for prosecution under this ordinance. <br /> b. Any person knowing of a human being bitten by a <br />dogor cat shall immedialely notify the dog catcher or <br />lhe police department or lhe township Secretary and <br />said animal shall then he confined in the pound and <br />kept under observation for a period of fourteen (14) <br />days before being released or disposed of. <br />Section 22 REPEALER <br /> Ordinance NO. 1.1 passed August 21, 1967 and <br />Ordinance No. 7, published June 25, 1971 are hereby <br />repealed. <br />Section 23 PENALTY <br /> Any person, firm or corporalion violating any <br />provision of this ordinance is guilty et a misdemeanor <br />andupon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine <br />et not more lhan 5300.00 or icnprisonment in the city or <br />county jail for not chore than 90 days or both. <br /> Each day such a violation is commilted or permitted <br />tocontinueshall constitute a separate offense and shall <br />be punlshahle as such hereunder. <br />Section 24 SEPARABILITY <br /> If any chapter, section, subseclion, sentence, clause, <br />phrase or portion of this code is tor any reason held <br />invalid or unconstitutional by any Court of competent <br />[urisdiclion, such portion shall be deemed a separate, <br />dJstincl end independeol provision and such holding <br />shall not aftecl ~he validity of the remaining portions <br />hereof. <br />Section 25 EFFECTIVE DATE <br /> This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from <br />and after its passage and publication. <br /> Passed by the Town Board this 21st day of May, 1973. <br />TOWNSHIP OF RAMSEY <br />HERBERT MURPHY,Chairman <br />Board ot Supervisors <br />ATTEST: <br />JAMES PETERSON, Clerk <br />ahcdotghiikimnopqrst uvwx yz <br /> Puhlisl~ed in Anoka Co.
