5. 18. <br /> CC Regular Session <br /> Meeting Date: 11/14/2023 <br /> Primary Strategic Plan Initiative: Improve the safety and mobility of transportation corridors. <br /> Information <br /> Title <br /> Adopt Resolution#23-281 Accepting Topographic Survey Proposals for 2024 Neighborhood Pavement Overlay <br /> Improvements, Improvement Project#24-07. <br /> Purpose/Background: <br /> Purpose: <br /> The purpose of this case is to adopt Resolution#23-281 accepting topographic survey proposals for 2024 <br /> Neighborhood Pavement Overlay Improvements, Improvement Project#24-07. <br /> Background: <br /> The 2024—2032 10-Year Capital Improvement Plan(CIP)has not yet been approved by City Council,but to <br /> solicit bids this winter for the proposed 2024 Neighborhood Pavement Overlay Improvements, Staff needs to <br /> begin designing the project and preparing plans. The proposed 2024 Neighborhood Pavement Overlay <br /> Improvements includes several street segments with concrete sidewalks. Initial review of the sidewalks indicate <br /> they do not meet current American with Disability Act(ADA)requirements for pedestrian ramps at street <br /> crossings, and will require updates as part of this project. <br /> Topographic surveys are essential to locate all existing site features and to create an existing ground surface,used <br /> as the base for designing the pedestrian ramp improvements. Staff sent request for proposals for a topographic <br /> survey for 2024 Overlay Improvements ADA Pedestrian Ramp Upgrades, a copy of which is attached to this <br /> case. The request for proposal identified 101 pedestrian ramps which need to be surveyed. <br /> Proposals received are shown below. <br /> Bolton&Menk, Inc. $3,400.00 <br /> Hakanson Anderson $3,625.00 <br /> Bolton&Menk, Inc. submitted the lowest responsible proposal. Based on the submitted proposals, Staff <br /> recommends accepting the survey proposal for 2024 Neighborhood Pavement Overlay Improvements from <br /> Bolton&Menk, Inc. <br /> Bolton&Menk is required to complete their work by December 29, 2023,bused upon the schedule in the Request <br /> for Proposal. <br /> Notification: <br /> If awarded, Staff will send notification letters out to impacted residents to inform them of the survey crews <br /> working in the neighborhood. <br /> Observations/Alternatives: <br /> Alternatives: <br /> Motion to adopt Resolution#23-281 accepting topographic survey proposals for 2024 Neighborhood Pavement <br /> Overlay Improvements, Improvement Project#24-07. <br />
