1 Carport means an automobile shelter open on two or more sides and shall be considered an accessory
<br />2 structure.
<br />3 Certificate of compliance. A document written after a compliance inspection, certifying that the
<br />4 development is in compliance with applicable requirements at the time of the inspection.
<br />5 Certified arborist means any person holding a valid and current arborist certification as issued by the
<br />6 International Society of Arboriculture (ISA).
<br />7 Certified forester means any person holding a valid and current forester certification as issued by the Society
<br />8 of American Foresters (SAF).
<br />9 CFR means the Code of Federal Regulations.
<br />10 Club means a business operating as defined and regulated by Minn. Stats. Chapter 340A.
<br />11 Commercial recreation indoor means private recreational facilities that are inside a building operated for
<br />12 profit and open to members and/or the general public including tennis and racquetball clubs, indoor
<br />13 swimming pools, video arcades (amusement centers), indoor batting cages, pool halls, and the like,
<br />14 excluding health and fitness clubs.
<br />15 Commercial recreation outdoor means private recreational facilities primarily occurring outside of a
<br />16 building operated for profit or not and open to members and/or the general public including golf
<br />17 courses and driving ranges, miniature golf, riding stables, skating rinks, outdoor swimming pools,
<br />18 archery or trapshooting ranges, batting cages, softball, baseball, volleyball, soccer, or football
<br />19 facilities, and the like.
<br />20 Commissioner. The commissioner of the applicable state agency.
<br />21 Community Amenity Building means a structure or use that is accessory to a multi -family building,
<br />22 townhome association, or single-family homeowners' association that is intended for the enjoyment
<br />23 of its residents such as a swimming pool with or without restrooms, gazebo, clubhouse, or fitness
<br />24 facilities.
<br />25 Comprehensive plan means a computation of goals, policy statements, standards, programs and maps for
<br />26 guiding the physical, social, and economic development, both public and private, as defined in Minn.
<br />27 Stats. § 462.352, and includes any part of such plan separately adopted and any amendment to such
<br />28 plan or parts thereof.
<br />29 Conservation design. A pattern of subdivision that is characterized by grouping lots within a portion of a
<br />30 parcel, where the remaining portion of the parcel is permanently protected as open space.
<br />31 Construction equipment trailer/field office means a mobile trailer or structure used for equipment storage
<br />32 or as a field office for contractors and subcontractors, which is not open to the general public.
<br />33 Covenant means a contract between two individuals which constitutes a restriction of a particular use of
<br />34 land that is not enforced by the City, County, State, or Federal government.
<br />35 Conventional subdivision. A pattern of subdivision that is characterized by lots that are spread regularly
<br />36 throughout a parcel in a lot and block design.
<br />37 Data Center means a facility that houses information technology (IT) infrastructure for building, running,
<br />38 and delivering applications and services and for storing and managing the data associated with those
<br />39 applications and services.
<br />40 Daycare Centers means a licensed business that provides supervision of and care for children, physically
<br />41 or mentally disabled adults, or the elderly for a portion of the day or night.
<br />42 Deck. A horizontal, unenclosed, aboveground level structure open to the sky, with or without attached
<br />43 railings, seats, trellises, or other features, attached or functionally related to a principal use or site.
<br />44 Density means a number expressing the ratio of dwelling units to an acre of land. Net Density deducts
<br />45 waterbodies and wetlands.
<br />46 Detailing services means a business that provide comprehensive cleaning and reconditioning of both a
<br />47 vehicle's interior and exterior.
<br />48 Developer. Having the meaning given under Minn. Stats. § 116G.03.
<br />49 Development. Having the meaning given under Minn. Stats. § 116G.03.
<br />50 Discharge means the conveyance, channeling, runoff, or drainage, of stormwater, including snowmelt, from
<br />51 a site.
