Councilmember Woestehoff introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption:
<br /> RESOLUTION#23-286
<br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING PARTIAL PAYMENT NO. 4 TO DOUGLAS-KERR
<br /> UNDERGROUND, LLC., OF MORA, MINNESOTA FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
<br /> #23-05; BARTHEL'S RUM RIVER ACRES 2ND STREET RECONSTRUCTION
<br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proposes to reconstruct the streets within the Barthel's
<br /> Rum River Acres 2nd subdivision; and
<br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution 422-202, adopted August 23,
<br /> 2022, City Council accepted and awarded the proposal to Hakanson Anderson for Topographic
<br /> Survey of the project area; and
<br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution 422-204, adopted August 23,
<br /> 2022, the City Council awarded a contract to Haugo Geotechnical Services to prepare a
<br /> geotechnical report for Improvement Project 423-05, Barthel's Rum River Acres 2nd Addition
<br /> Street Reconstructions, including 13 soil borings and pavement cores; and
<br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution 422-286, adopted December
<br /> 13, 2022, the City Engineer was ordered to prepare plans and specifications for Improvement
<br /> Project 423-05, Barthel's Rum River Acres 2nd Addition Street Reconstructions; and
<br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution 423-047 adopted February 28,
<br /> 2023,the City Council awarded Haugo Geotechnical Services an addendum to the current contract
<br /> for said project and plans and specs have been updated with said information; and
<br /> WHEREAS,pursuantto Ramsey City Council Resolution#23-082,adopted April 251'2023,the City
<br /> Council approved plans and specifications as prepared by the City Engineer authorized advertisement for
<br /> bids for same improvements; and
<br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution 423-104, adopted on May 23,
<br /> 2023, a contract was awarded to Douglas-Kerr Underground, LLC. of Mora, Minnesota in amount
<br /> of$1,198,428.85 for said improvements; and
<br /> WHEREAS, as of November 28, 2023 $1,093,482.92 has been paid to date; and
<br /> WHEREAS, the Senior Engineering Technician has inspected the completed work and
<br /> recommends partial payment No. 4 to Douglas-Kerr Underground, LLC., of Mora, Minnesota for
<br /> improvement project 423-05, Barthel's Rum River Acres 2nd Street Reconstruction, in the amount
<br /> of$119,201.05.
<br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br /> RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows:
<br /> 1) The City Council hereby authorizes partial payment No. 4 to Douglas-Kerr Underground,
<br /> LLC of Mora, Minnesota for Improvement Project 423-05, Barthel's Rum River Acres 2nd
<br /> Street Reconstruction in the amount of$119,201.05.
