I
I

I
I

I
I
I
I
I

CASE #

CITY COUNCIL SCHEDULE FOR DECEMBER 1999
By: James E. Norman, City Administrator

Background:

Typically, Council has not been holding the regularly scheduled second meeting in December. If
this is council's wish again, staff will post such notice.

Regardless of whether Council has a second meeting in December, or elects not to, staff requests
that Council designate a Councilmember to come into City Hall on the afternoon or evening of
December 30, 1999, to review bills so they can be paid prior to year-end. This has been the
practice the past few years.

Council Action:

If Council plans to cancel the second regularly scheduled meeting in December, the following
motion is necessary:

Motion to cancel the second regularly scheduled meeting in December and direct staff to post
such notice at City Hall.

and -

Regardless if Council does or does not have a regularly scheduled meeting in December, the
following motion is necessary:

Motion to designate Councilmember to come into City Hall on December 30, 1999, to
review all approved bills for payment prior to year-end.

Reviewed by:

City Administrator
Finance Officer

CC: 12/14/99

lIRA_FSI I VOL I lusers~dThieling[~JO~COUNCIL& IC1TYCOUNII 9991December12mhneetingDec. doc 12/09/99
