Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #99~12-XXX RESOLUTION APPROVING ICE ANOKA ARENA ASSOCIATION FOR PREMISE PERMITS FOR LAWFUL GAMBLING AT DIAMONDS SPORTS BAR AND GRILL WHEREAS, the Ice Anoka Arena Association has applied for a premise permit for gambling at Diamonds Sports Bar and Grill, 7550 Highway 10, Ramsey; and WHEREAS, the Ice Anoka Arena Association provides opportunities and services to the residents of Ramsey with monies derived from lawful gambling operations; and WHEREAS, the Ice Anoka Arena Association has requested Council waive the 30-day notice provision; and WHEREAS, the Gambling Control Board Division of the Department of Gaming requires the City of Ramsey adopt a resolution specifically approving or denying the application. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves the premise permit application for the Ice Anoka Arena Association to operate lawful gambling at Diamonds Sports Bar and Grill, 7550 Highway 10, Ramsey. 2) That the Ramsey City Council agrees to waive the 30-day notice provision. 3) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the City Administrator or Finance Officer to sign the application and any other documents required by the Minnesota Gambling Control Board. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Couneilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said'resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 14th day of December 1999.
