CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION (CLOSED PORTION) CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA The Ramsey City Council conducted a Closed Session on Tuesday, February 12, 2018, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. Members Present: Mayor Sarah Strommen Councilmember Jill Johns Councilmember Mark Kuzma Councilmember Chris Riley Councilmember Melody Shryock Members Absent: Councilmember John LeTourneau Also Present: City Administrator Kurtis Ulrich Asst. City Administrator/Economic Development Manager Patrick Brama Vice President of Land Services with CBRE Brian Pankratz 1. CALL TO ORDER Mayor Strommen called the Closed Session of the City Council to order at 6:15 p.m. 2. COUNCIL BUSINESS 2.04: Pricing Strategy Asst. City Administrator/Economic Development Manager Brama presented the pricing table to the Council, noting that should be the focus of the discussion tonight. Councilmember Johns stated that she likes the addition of identifying the shovel ready sites. Asst. City Administrator/Economic Development Manager Brama provided additional details on the items included on the pricing table. He reported that the EDA also discussed this topic in closed session and recommended approval of the change log and summarized the additional direction that was given from the EDA. Mr. Pankratz explained how he obtained the comparable sales and retail comparisons, providing details on the communities that were used and the period of time that was reviewed. He stated that some of the asking prices in Ramsey may be high compared to the market but noted that there is room to complete the deal within the deal range. Asst. City Administrator/Economic Development Manager Brama noted that on the regular agenda tonight, the Council will review a purchase agreement that falls within the deal range.
