Councilmember Pearson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #06-04-129 RESOLUTION MUNICIPAL STATE AID SYSTEM DESIGNATIONS WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has adopted a Comprehensive Plan which provides for a system of arterial and collector thoroughfare; and WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota has established a Municipal State Aid System (MSAS) under Chapter 162 of the State Statutes which promotes the construction and maintenance of' such an arterial and collector system; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Ramsey to modify the designated MSAS to conform to its changing transportation needs; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1. That the following MSAS segments be added to the system: Sunwood Drive from Armstrong Boulevard west to Puma Street which is currently designated as segment 109 of the City's MSA system. The length of this mileage to be 0.90 miles. Jaspar Street from its intersection with Ramsey Boulevard (CR 56) to 160th Lane; then 160th Lane from Jaspar Street to the intersection of 161st Avenue and Variolite Street; then 161st Avenue from Variolite to Armstrong Boulevard (CSAH 83). The length of this mileage to be 1.50 miles. That the City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to forward two certified copies of this resolution to the Commission of Transportation for consideration and, that upon approval of the revisions of said road or portion thereof, that same be constructed, improved and maintained as a part of the MSAS of the City of Ramsey.
