1 I t <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />Regional Economic Development <br />2024 PRIORITIES <br />Below is a limited sampling of ACRED priorities for 2024. This is not intended to be a comprehensive <br />list, as further discussion amongst the ACRED Executive Committee is scheduled for January 2024. Not <br />included are day-to-day technical assistance efforts provided to municipalities, businesses, and real <br />estate industry professionals. <br />Furthermore, ACRED recently commenced an effort to update its strategic plan. Results are expected at <br />the end of Q2 2024. Once the study results are received, additional discussion will be had between <br />ACRED and the municipalities to formalize efforts moving forward. <br />HOSTED EVENTS: <br />- Anoka County Business Summit — May -June 2024 <br />o Collaboration with Anoka County Job Training Center to create signature event. <br />- 3M Open —July 2024 <br />- Anoka County Real Estate Summit — November -December 2024 <br />- ACRED Partner Meetings — increased participation and curated content <br />MAJOR PRIORITIES OR INITIATIVES: <br />- Continue with Minnesota Real Estate Journal sponsorship, speaker panel opportunities and <br />exhibitor to promote Anoka County. <br />- Continue as exhibitor at MNCAR Expo to promote Anoka County opportunities. <br />- Continue MNCAR listing opportunity for municipalities to increase awareness of development <br />opportunities. <br />- Update ACRED website with 2024 data to be most relevant for site selectors. <br />www.AnokaCountvSuccess.org. <br />- Continue increasing the ACRED brand throughout the region through presentations to business <br />groups and community organizations. <br />- Continue disbursement of funds for the Anoka County Predevelopment Grant program until funds <br />are exhausted or reallocated. <br />- Support finalization of the Anoka County Housing Study, support presentations to municipalities on <br />the results, and promote suitable site opportunities to developers. <br />- Support efforts towards the new ACRED strategic plan, evaluate results, share with the <br />municipalities and assess its impact on a future ACRED MOU agreement. <br />- Review, research, and present recommendations for amendments to the Anoka County Business <br />Subsidy policy. <br />
