CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />Topic Report: Landfill Environmental <br />Attorney <br />By: James E. Norman, City Administrator <br /> <br /> SEY <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Staff has been having difficulties recently in the discussions with representatives from the <br />Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (PCA). iThe City is interested in the land for the <br />underutilized property of the landfill site for purposes of the Public Works facility and <br />industrial uses. The PCA has been saying that it'is undetermined when the State would be <br />willing to release property. After consultation with the engineers of the Bolton & Menk firm, <br />a recommendation was made to utilize the services of a specialist in the environmental field. <br />The City as introduced to Daniel Colton of the Le6nard Street and Deinard law firm who <br />specializes in environmental issues and dealing with the PCA. Mr. Colton will be on hand to <br />discuss the possible relationship between his firm and the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Action Statement: <br /> <br />Based upon discussion. <br /> <br />Reviewed by: <br /> <br />City Administrator <br /> <br />CCWS: 06/06/06 <br /> <br /> <br />
