CC Regular Session Meeting Date: 01/23/2024 Primary Strategic Plan Initiative: Not Applicable Information Title Adopt Resolution#24-030 Prohibiting Parking on Alpine Drive Between Armstrong Blvd. and Puma St. for IP #24-11, State Aid Project No. 199-112-010 Purpose/Background: The City does not currently have an official "No Parking" resolution on file for this segment of Alpine Drive, which is required prior to Municipal State Aid(MSA)project approval. Currently,Alpine Drive prohibits parking on both sides of the street. The proposed street improvements do not provide an adequate width for parking on both sides of Alpine Drive, and approval of the proposed reconstruction as a Municipal State Aid Street must therefore be conditioned upon certain parking restrictions. As part of the State Aid Process, a copy of the proposed plans and specifications and an approved resolution will need to be submitted in order to receive funding. Notification: Notifications are not required for this case. Observations/Alternatives: Posting this segment of Alpine Drive "No Parking"has not been an issue in the past as no driveways exist along this segment of Alpine Drive. Funding Source: Funding for this improvement project is proposed to come from the MSA Fund, and Water Utility Fund. (MSA) Street Project Cost$619,610.66 Water Project Cost $589,972.58 Total Estimated Project Cost$1,209,583.23 Recommendation: Staff recommends adoption of Resolution#24-030 Prohibiting Parking on Alpine Drive Between Armstrong Blvd. and Puma St. for IP#24-11, State Aid Project No. 199-112-010.
