Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #24-036 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MOU) <br /> AND VOLUNTARY COST SHARING AGREEMENT (VCSA) WITH ANOKA <br /> COUNTY REGIONAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PARTNERSHIP (ACRED) <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey is an Anoka County municipality, and as such is a <br /> rapidly growing and important segment of the Twin Cities Metropolitan Region, made up of <br /> a rich variety of vital and desirable communities; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Ramsey has worked with ACRED to market City owned land <br /> utilizing the MNCAR Platform and Anoka County website, respond to regional RFP's and <br /> other participate in economic development and marketing projects; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has been a party to the Memorandum of <br /> Understanding (MOU) with Anoka County since 2019 and the agreement automatically <br /> terminates in 2024; and <br /> WHEREAS, a one-year extension of the MOU with the same purpose has been <br /> presented to the City of Ramsey for consideration with the intention to update the objectives <br /> and goals for a future agreement to be considered in 2025; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has been a party to the Voluntary Cost Sharing <br /> Agreement(VCSA)with Anoka County since 2019 and has received a 2024 Renewal amount <br /> for $1,37 for the VCSA for consideration; and <br /> WHEREAS, The Ramsey EDA met on January 11, 2024, and unanimously <br /> recommended approval of the extension of the MOU and VCSA renewal in the amount of <br /> $1,637. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> 1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey authorizes City officials to execute the <br /> one-year extension of the MOU with Anoka County Economic Development. <br /> 2) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey authorizes continue with the Voluntary <br /> Cost Sharing Agreement, referenced in the Memorandum of Understanding for Anoka <br /> County Regional Economic Development activities. <br /> 3) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey authorizes $1,637 of the City's EDA Fund <br /> (9230-6246) to pay the Invoice for the City's share of the Voluntary Cost Sharing <br /> Agreement, in a referenced in the Memorandum of Understanding for Anoka County <br /> Regional Economic Development activities. <br />
