COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> 7.01: Settlement Hearing Continuation: Animal violation of Chapter 10 for the keeping of <br /> a rooster on property less than 2.5 acres in size, located at 6025 177th Ln NW, <br /> Ramsey, MN. <br /> City Attorney Knaak reviewed the Staff report concerning the continuation of the settlement <br /> hearing for the animal violation of keeping a rooster on a property less than 2.5 acres. He shared <br /> that this was a continuation of a prior hearing that the Council brought to a Work Session to <br /> discuss, and they decided that there would not be any changes to the current code. <br /> Derek Trout, 6025 177th Lane NW, came forward and shared that the Council has already set a <br /> precedent of making an acreage requirement accommodation for emotional support animals. He <br /> noted that at this time there has been no accommodation suggested by the City, which is required <br /> by the EDA and HUD. He stated that changing the language of the City statute would have solved <br /> the issue at hand and they had no control over how to make an accommodation and it was in the <br /> hands of the Council to make an accommodation.
