Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION#24-044 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING <br /> ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR 2024 CRACK SEAL IMPROVEMENTS, <br /> IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #24-08 <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey can most cost-effectively maximize the life of the bituminous <br /> pavement on public streets by sealing cracks on an annual basis; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey adopted budget for 2024 includes $575,000.00 for street <br /> maintenance contracted services, including to crack seal the bituminous pavement on numerous public <br /> street segments in support of the City's Pavement Management Program; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution#24-012 adopted January 9, 2024, the <br /> City Council ordered the City Engineer to prepare plans and specifications for 2024 Crack Seal <br /> Improvements, Improvement Project#24-08; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for the purpose of advertising <br /> for bids for 2024 Crack Seal Improvements, Improvement Project#24-08. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> 1) The Ramsey City Council hereby approves the plans and specifications prepared by the City <br /> Engineer and authorizes advertisement for bids for said improvements as City Improvement Project <br /> #24-081 2024 Crack Seal Improvements. <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> and the following voted against the same: <br /> and the following abstained: <br /> and the following were absent: <br /> Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this <br /> the 23rd day of January, 2024. <br /> Mayor <br />
