CC Regular Session 6. 1. <br /> Meeting Date: 01/23/2024 <br /> By: Todd Larson, Community Development <br /> Information <br /> Title: <br /> PUBLIC HEARING-Adopt Resolution#24-010 Vacating Various Street Rights-of-Way in the COR <br /> Purpose/Background: <br /> In 2003,the Plat of Ramsey Town Center Addition was recorded creating various roadways within the COR. <br /> Some of these roadways were never constructed. With the Waterfront Park excavation and mass grading in the <br /> fall of 2023,new roadway alignments are planned for the construction of West Ramsey Parkway and Center <br /> Street in 2024. The old unused rights-of-way will be incorporated into future Waterfront Park and development <br /> sites. <br /> The private utility companies (gas, electric, cable, etc.)were notified and those responding stated no utilities were <br /> present. Comcast noted that they have cable in the right-of-way for Center Street. Staff will work with Comcast <br /> on relocating the cable, if it becomes necessary. <br /> Notification: <br /> Notification was made in the December 22, 2023,Anoka Union Herald Newspaper. Private utility companies <br /> were notified via email. <br /> Two utility companies, Comcast and Lumen,have cable along Center Street and near Bunker Lake Boulevard. <br /> Staff will work with those companies on any relocation that could be necessary with the reconstruction and <br /> realignment of that roadway. <br /> Observations/Alternatives: <br /> Alternatives to Consider: <br /> 1. Adopt the Resolution as presented. <br /> 2. Adopt the Resolution with modifications. <br /> 3. Deny the Resolution based on certain findings. <br /> Funding Source: <br /> Costs associated with the project are split between staffs normal duties and TIF 14 eligible expenses. <br /> Recommendation: <br /> Staff recommends adopting Resolution#24-010. <br /> Action: <br /> Motion to adopt Resolution#24-010 Vacating Various Street Rights-of-Way in the COR. <br /> Attachments <br /> Resolution#24-046 <br /> Exhibit 1 <br /> Exhibit 2 <br />
