♦New playground for Alpine Park $1501000 ♦Playground area improvements/contingency $25,000 Total $1959320.28 The RFP for the Alpine Park project was due to the city on January 8th 2024. Thereafter, a three judge panel was convened to review and rank the proposals for the Commission's consideration, and the findings and analysis were presented at the regular Park&Recreation Commission meeting. The Commission concurred with the judges' evaluations and the above cost break-out constitutes the recommended playground replacement plan for 2024. Additional background and an overview of this project will be presented at the Council meeting. Funding Source: Pursuant to the Playground Replacement Policy, funding for the playground's refurbishment and replacements would be from the Lawful Gambling Fund. Recommendation: The Park&Recreation Commission and staff,recommend the scope of work identified above for the playground improvements for both Alpine Park and River's Bend Park at a not-to-exceed amount of$200,000 for the two community parks. Action: Motion to Adopt Resolution#24-045 authorizing up to $200,000 from the Lawful Gambling Fund for the refurbishment of River's Bend Park's playground and the replacement of Alpine Park's playground, pursuant to the proposals received and the Playground Replacement Plan and Policy.
